The Kitchen Dwellers Detroit Concert reviews
Nickelback - Beware
In my opinion, I was not expecting the profanity, especially the "F" word, and the continual talk about alcohol, drugs, and sex. The video shown on the big screen depicted young girls licking and sucking on bananas covered in whipped cream - suitable for a porn movie start but not for a music concert. The Kitchen Dwellers rambles excessively about alcohol and sex, which some fans find very entertaining. Obviously, I did not research The Kitchen Dwellers enough before purchasing tickets, and now I know I will not attend their concerts in the future. This is not a concert suitable for teens or younger individuals.
The place was packed and enthusiastic, indicating I may be in the minority regarding the swearing and discussions of sex, drugs, and alcohol. I also found it unpleasant that some attendees near us were smoking marijuana, which seemed to align with The Kitchen Dwellers' style.
A segment of the concert involved throwing beer cups and shooting t-shirts into the crowd, which does not align with what I consider a good concert experience. I wonder how the fans soaked in beer felt about this.
I was also taken aback when The Kitchen Dwellers encouraged everyone to raise their hands with the "devil horn" symbol, implying they promote devil worship. Once again, this does not match my concert preferences.
However, when they did perform music, they sounded good, and the pyrotechnics and loud effects were thrilling and enjoyable.
